“ So this place is definitely an STL best kept secret. My dad used to go here all the time when he was younger, same with my mom and my grand mother, my uncle, my god family, so on and so fourth. I hope it stays a secret and I hope gentrification doesn't touch this place. The food is so good, the atmosphere is basically like spending the night at your grandmothers house and after a night of pure kid fun, your grandmother wakes you up, not by walking into your room and shaking you awake, but by simply making the best meal possible. Then the aroma slowly entering your nose holes and you take a deep breath in and your mouth begins to water for the home style breakfast potatoes, a nice salmon croquette, a perfectly runny egg, and seasoned for the gods! That's all, just thought you all should know. ”

“ C W's Lounge is not just night life. They have an excellent breakfast from 7am to noon. I had an omelet with hash browns and a side of bacon all cooked to perfection. My wife had scrambled eggs and smothered potatoes also cooked to perfection. The service was fast and friendly. Not a huge place probably holds about 100-125 people. Very clean! Menu is pretty basic but delicious. Would definitely recommend having breakfast here. ”

“ First time for me and my brothers going to CW's for breakfast and will be going back. We waited longer than should have for service due to waitress having full section but waitress #2 stepped in & saved the day, especially with hazelnut creamer for coffee! Had it not even been for waitress #2, the food itself would have made the wait even more of a non issue. I ordered 2 pancakes, 2 eggs & bacon plate which came with choice of grits, oatmeal,hash browns, or fried potatoes. Food came freshly cooked and as ordered. The bacon was thick and not salty -fried potatoes were kitchen table quality. Opens at 6am which allows for me to order takeout before work. ”

“ I've only been to this friendly North Side establishment for breakfast, which they serve Tues-Sun., 6am-Noon, and the food is quite impressive. CW's is usually filled with a large crowd of regulars and service is very friendly. I couldn't believe that my generous portion of biscuits & gravy was only $1.15! Their breakfast ham, as well as their eggs, were very well done & tasty. The side of smothered potatoes was the serious winner though. So so so tasty. The service was very friendly and great all-around. CW's has a very simple, great neighborhood atmosphere. The building is divided into two- the restaurant dining area and the bar/lounge area. The place was rockin' some nice old school jams on their sweet DJ system, which is a nice treat during breakfast. I imagine that this is a great place to grab a drink. It has a nice bar and that great north side "lounge" feel to it. Seems like the place where lots of spontaneous dancing would occur. Looking forward to coming back, morning or night. Open 6am-1am Tues.-Sun. This is a smoking establishment, folks. ”
